Aluminum, Stainless Steel
6' x 6' x 14'
Philadelphia, 2000
A circular staircase that allows passers-by to be displaced nine feet above the ground. The aluminum staircase was set up temporarily in different locations on the sidewalks of Center-City Philidelphia. Passers-by took a journey that altered their visual perspective and physical sense of the space around themselves. The staircase was an extension of the conventional museum/gallery environments.
